# BT-30 — Seller legal registration identifier

The seller's official registration number, such as a commercial register entry or a national business ID. The scheme is given via the schemeID attribute.

## Practical note

France: this carries the seller's SIREN (9 digits, schemeID 0002) or SIRET (14 digits, schemeID 0009) — mandatory on French invoices. Digits only, no spaces.

## Where does it live in the XML?

- UBL: `cac:AccountingSupplierParty/cac:Party/cac:PartyLegalEntity/cbc:CompanyID`
- CII: `rsm:SupplyChainTradeTransaction/ram:ApplicableHeaderTradeAgreement/ram:SellerTradeParty/ram:SpecifiedLegalOrganization/ram:ID`

## Checked by these rules

- [BH-FR-01 — Seller SIREN/SIRET missing (France)](https://billhorse.com/en/rules/bh-fr-01/)
- [BH-FR-02 — Seller identifier not a SIREN/SIRET](https://billhorse.com/en/rules/bh-fr-02/)
- [BH-FR-05 — SIREN in VAT number contradicts BT-30](https://billhorse.com/en/rules/bh-fr-05/)
